Aveo press release
Fast-growing Danish Agency Ready for Name Change As Expansion Continues
The web- and marketing agency Erhvervshjemmesider.dk, which is located in Aarhus, Denmark, is officially changing its name to Aveo A/S.
The company was founded six years ago by the two friends, Simon Børsting and Samuel Glaes, who decided it was time for a change in the traditional way of working in the web business. Since then, the company has expanded rapidly employing a total of 35 specialists today.
The old name (translates roughly into ‘websites for businesses’) strongly focused on the traditional website solution, however with the Corona pandemic came the need for businesses to be able to sell their products and services online as well.
“We received a lot of inquiries from e.g. therapists and hairdressers, who wanted to bring their businesses and products online. In addition, several older companies contacted us with the growing need of becoming more digital and starting a webshop,” says Samuel Glaes, partner and managing director of the company.
Standing Out In A Time Of Crisis
It wasn’t just the webshops that made the company busier than ever – they also experienced a major increase in companies needing help with their digital marketing, as physical stores moved their businesses online.
“When Denmark was shut down, a lot of smaller danish entrepreneurs experienced a lot of insecurity and nervousness about their business and how to survive the shutdown. An urgent need for measurable and profitable marketing arose very quickly,” continues Samuel Glaes: “we embraced this need and adjusted our business, so we were able to help our customers get the best out of a very difficult situation.”
Following the increased focus on digital transformation was the need for a new name that embraces the full palette of the company and not just websites.
“Our customers have welcomed both our webshop and marketing solutions with open arms, which makes it clear to me that our future will bring an even greater focus on these exact areas,” says Samuel Glaes, who just signed the contract with the ninth new employee since the lockdown in the spring of 2020.
Gazelle Business And Nomination For Business Of The Year
Handling the outbreak of the Corona virus by adding innovative and digital solutions has led to the nomination as EY Entrepreneur of The Year 2020, whose focus this year is to nominate businesses that contributed to positive change and help during the Corona crisis.
In addition, Aveo is newly appointed Gazelle Business 2020 (a prize given by the danish business news media Børsen to rapidly growing danish companies, hence Gazelle) – a distinction that reflects a healthy financial business.
“All in all, we’ve had a very exciting year and I can’t wait to see what the future brings. We are more than ready to help other danish entrepreneurs boost their businesses,” Samuel Glaes finishes.
